How Crema handles information

Crema is a portafilter log on one iPhone. You photograph a cup, rest a bag, stop a shot, and keep an aftertaste. Nothing here is a cafe feed or a chat.
What never leaves the phone
Bag names, roast rest, pull numbers (dose, grind, yield, seconds, crema color), cup and bag photos you add, spoken tastings, the barista photo, Coin balance, and which extra origins you unlocked stay in on-device storage. Crema does not run a server profile and does not sell that material.
When the system asks for access
Crema only asks at the moment a control needs it:
- Camera — Pull, Beans, or Mine when you tap Camera
- Photo library — choosing a cup, bag, or barista photo, and writing a cup slip into Photos
- Microphone — Taste when you tap Record
- Notifications — optional morning pull reminder if you turn it on
- Tracking preference — Apple’s App Tracking Transparency sheet after Continue. Crema does not use an advertising identifier to follow you into other companies’ apps or websites. Pull, Beans, and Taste still run if you decline.
Apple purchases
Shot packs are consumable In-App Purchases. Apple processes payment. Crema does not see your full card number.
Names and notes
A local word check may reject a bag name or aftertaste before it is saved. Crema does not publish shots to other people.
Who else sees your shots
Cup photos, bag photos, voice tastings, and notes are not uploaded to third-party automated analysis services.
Age
Crema is not aimed at children under 13. Use it only if you meet the minimum age in your region.
