Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Crema (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use the Crema iOS application. Crema is a private espresso desk for photographing cups, resting bean bags, logging a pull, and composing a tasting note on this device.
1. Summary
Most records stay on your device. Bags, pulls, tasting notes, Coins balance, and unlock records are stored locally. Crema does not operate messaging, live streaming, or stranger-matching features. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
2. Information processed on your device
- Bag names, rest days, roast dates, and optional photos
- Pull records: dose, grind, yield, time, crema color, and cup photos
- Optional short voice tastings on Taste
- Profile photo if you choose one
- Coins balance and consumable unlock state (extra bags)
- Basic preferences such as pull reminders and User Agreement acceptance
3. Permissions
Crema requests system permissions only when related to a feature you use:
- Camera — photograph the cup on Pull when you tap Camera, a bean bag on Beans when you tap Camera, or a profile photo on Mine when you tap Camera
- Photo Library — choose a cup, bag, or profile photo, and save pull tickets
- Microphone — record a short tasting note when you tap Record on Taste
- Notifications — optional morning pull reminders
- App Tracking Transparency — the system prompt appears on first open after Continue so you can set Apple’s tracking preference. Crema does not use an advertising identifier to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and logging a pull, resting a bag, and tasting notes still work if you decline.
4. Purchases
Coins are consumable In-App Purchases processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. Purchase records follow Apple’s App Store terms and privacy practices.
5. Content on this device
Names and notes stay on this device. Crema may run a local sensitive-word check before saving a bag name or tasting note. Crema is not a public plaza and does not publish your shots to other users.
6. Third parties
Crema does not upload your cup photos, bag photos, voice tastings, or notes to third-party automated analysis services.
7. Children
Crema is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under the minimum age required in your region.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish a revision.
